Privacy policy

Sevagan is software that service companies (for example AC, UPS, RO, copier and appliance service businesses) use to manage service requests, technicians, spare parts, quotations, contracts and invoices. Each company controls its own data; we process it on the company's behalf to run the service.

What we store

• Staff accounts: name, email, phone, role, sign-in times. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
• Customer and job details entered by the company: names, phone numbers, addresses, machines, problems, parts, quotations, invoices and payments.
• Photos and signatures taken on a job.
• Technician location: only if the technician turns on "Share my location during work", and only while the app is open. The latest position is shown to their office; movement history is kept for 7 days and then deleted. Job status changes may record where they were made.
• Notification settings: the push address of a device that turned on notifications.

How it is used

Only to provide the service: assigning and tracking jobs, sending the customer status updates, quotations, invoices and reminders the company has switched on (WhatsApp or SMS), and showing reports to the company. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

Who processes it

Hosting and database providers (Google Cloud in India, Neon), messaging providers used by the company (WhatsApp / SMS), and browser push services for notifications. Each company's data is kept separate from every other company's.

Customers

If you are a customer of a service company, the company decides what is recorded about you and can correct or remove it. Private links (request status, quotation, customer portal) show only your own information; please do not share them.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and changes to money are kept in an audit trail. Company data is kept while the company uses the service and deleted on request after it leaves, except records the law requires us to keep.
